The Breastplate of Righteousness: Stand Firm - Wk 3

In this series, we’ve learned who our enemy is. This week, Pastor Joby walks us through understanding who we are in Christ. The Breastplate of Righteousness is a reminder that righteousness comes by grace alone, through faith alone in Christ alone. On the cross, Christ took our unrighteousness upon Himself and gave us His righteousness. There’s more grace in Christ than the sin in us.

Walk This Way: Be Free - Wk 12

You’ll never learn to be free until you learn to be honest with the Lord. Trying to fight the devil on your own is never going to work out. You need to take whatever it is that the enemy is trying to kill you with- that has been living and growing in the dark and drag into the light. Let Jesus do the work that He finished at the cross on that thing.

If you primarily think of God as your master, you’ll always think of yourself as a bond servant and always lean towards works based righteousness. But when you realize God is your Father and that you're adopted as a son by grace, you will be set free from the bondage and no longer be a slave to sin or the performance trap of the law.
