The Church of Eleven22

I say to the LORD, “You are my Lord; I have no good apart from you.” – Psalm 16:2The sorrows of those who run after another god shall multiply… – Psalm 16:4The insatiable human soul can only be satisfied by the everlasting God.

2 The Lord looks down from heaven on the children of man, to see if there are any who understand, who seek after God.3 They have all turned aside; together they have become corrupt; there is none who does good, not even one. – Psalm 14:2-3God’s relentless pursuit of our rebellious race is through Jesus.

3 When I look at your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have set in place,4 what is man that you are mindful of him, and the son of man that you care for him? – Psalm 8:3-4Our lives are for Your glory. How do we leverage all of our lives (family, vocation, culture, etc.) for Your glory?

his delight is in the law of the LORD , and on his law he meditates day and night. – Psalm 1:2Is your life rooted in God’s word or are you trying to navigate life on your own?

When Jesus was on the cross and said "it is finished" it counted for you.

God does not reveal Himself to us so that we can sit and soak it up on the mountain top, but so that we can be sent and serve on mission.

Our enemy, the devil, is the Father of Lies. Do not believe the whispers, but stand on truth of the Word of God. "It is written.."

Jesus did not come to make bad people better or sad people happy. He came to give life to the dead and salvation for sinners.

A mustard seed-size faith in the infinitely powerful, promise-keeping God, is infinitely more powerful than putting all your faith in temporary, promise-breaking idols.

The law is the diagnosis that we are all sinners in need of a Savior. Jesus is the cure.
